In this project I was asked to creat a spaceship using the Software Maya.

What is maya ?

Maya® 3D animation, modelling, simulation, rendering and compositing software offers a comprehensive creative feature set for 3D computer animation, modelling, simulation and rendering on a highly extensible production platform. Maya provides high-end character and effects tool sets along with increased productivity for modelling, texturing and shader creation tasks.

Inspiration

I went to research some spaceships on the internet, to have an idea/ inspiration to my my own.

Tools I used to creat the spaceship

This are some of the tools I use to make my spaceship.

I used this tools to make the shape of the spaceship, and the details.

This are some of my first ideas of my spaceship.

However I am not happy it it because I don't really like it or find it interesting.

I'll do some changes further to make it more attractive, as changing shape or add materials and lights.

rendering

This are some of the changes you can do on Maya , it's called 'Rendering', basically is applying shadows on the spaceship , so it looks more realistic.

Also when I rendered the spaceship, I also had a different outside shape , to make it more interesting & to make it look more like a spaceship.

There's different ways of rendering .

Also the settings I can change the shadows , the sun direction & the colour of the shadows.

This is when I rendered my spaceship with materials.

It looks way better than before, however I could of change the materials to make my spaceship look better.

There's also different materials that I can add to my spaceship!

I can also change the color of it , and have different parts with different colors.

I can make my spaceship realistic using different materials & using different parts with the correct material.
