Anatomical Sketches

To help me to define facial features and expressions I used Andrew Loomis life drawings.

William Andrew Loomis (1892–1959), known simply as Andrew Loomis, was an American illustrator, author, and art instructor. Loomis is best known as author of a series of instructional art books printed throughout the 20th century.

After his death, Loomis' realistic style has continued to influence popular artists.

tips when making a head

Propotions of the head:

The height of the skull and it's depth are nearly the same.
There's too many mistaking when making a face, normally it's features are made too big, especially yhe eyes, they are made too big and too high up the face.
Eyes are halfway up the head.
They are one eye width apart.
